JOIN THE FORCE
Toronto Fire Services responds to much more than structure fires. From vehicle collisions and hazardous materials incidents to technical rescues and medical assists, firefighters play an important role in keeping every emergency scene under control. Teamwork, communication, and quick decision-making are at the heart of every call.
OUR PROCESS
Join the Toronto Fire Services through our comprehensive 4-step training program designed to prepare you for real Canadian law enforcement.
Submit your application through our online application form. Applications are usually reviewed within a couple hours.
As of June 2025, we have switched our lengthy in person training to an online training system. This will allow you to "self lead" your training and complete it at your own pace. We're always available to help you with any questions you may have.
Once you complete the online training, you will be able to schedule a ride along with an officer. This will allow you to put what you've learned into practice and get a feel for what its like. Ride alongs are super fun!
You're done! You're now a member of the Toronto Fire Services and can start your career as a police officer.
